With two Alcatel installation vessels, the ‘Ile de Sein and the ‘Ile de Brehat’, both installing the cable, the marine installation phase of Seabras-1 from NY to São Paulo is progressing as planned. Throughout the remainder of May and the first few days of June the marine installation will be completed.

Activities in both cable stations in Brazil and the US are now complete in readiness for the finalization of the marine cable installation. Immediately after the installation commissioning and acceptance of the Seabras-1 submarine cable will commence. With all the terrestrial elements of Seabras-1 nearing completion, system commissioning and final testing of the complete Seabras-1 network will actively begin in May and June.

Activity is at an all time high throughout the network in readiness for the ready for service date. Seaborn’s NOC will be fully operational by the end of May with a fully staffed and trained and experienced network management team. The entire Seaborn team is now in place and focused on the final phase of the Seabras-1 deployment.
